Each Archive House collage is built from your child's actual artwork—drawings, paintings, practice pages, the back of a menu they doodled on at dinner. We curate, edit, and assemble. The size you choose determines how much source material we'll need from you.

Why there's a minimum

Editing is the work. An Archive House collage isn't a stack of artwork glued down. It's a curation, and curation requires options. Each size has a minimum because the pieces that make the final composition are chosen against the pieces that don't. Without enough source material, there isn't enough to edit from, and the result reads as preserved rather than composed.

What to send

The pieces that look least like “art” are often the ones we end up using. Send a wider range than you think you should. We’ll edit.

Sizes

18 × 24 — $850 — 100 source pieces minimum

24 × 36 — $1,650 — 150 source pieces minimum

36 × 48 — $2,950 — 200 source pieces minimum

What's included

  • One consultation call to discuss your vision and the source material.

  • Curation and editing of the artwork you submit.

  • Final assembly mounted on birch panel, and UV-resistant varnish coating for archival protection.

The piece arrives finished, ready to hang. No framing required.

How it works

  1. Inquire. Tell us about your child, your archive, and the size you're considering.

  2. We reply. Within a few business days, with availability and an estimated lead time.

  3. Send your archive. Mail your child's artwork to the studio. We'll send detailed instructions.

  4. We curate, edit, assemble. The pieces selected for the collage are mounted directly onto the birch panel and your child's actual paper, ink, and paint become the artwork. The pieces that don't make the final cut come back to you.

  5. The piece is delivered finished and ready to hang.

Shipping & delivery

Shipping is quoted per project, based on the finished piece's size and your destination. Local delivery is included within 15 miles of Hinsdale, IL.

Lead time

Lead times vary based on current studio capacity and the size of your commission. We'll give you an estimate when we reply to your inquiry.
